Hi I am Belinda, the founder & CEO of Short & Long Stays and I would like to share a bit about myself.

My love of travelling and staying at Airbnb’s both in Australia and overseas, led me to renovate a wasted space above our garage and turn it into a cosy Airbnb studio. Quickly achieving Super Host status, I started converting my other investment properties in Melbourne and Geelong from long term to short term letting to increase my rental yields and wanted to provide visitors to our beautiful area, a cosy and comfortable home to stay in. I wanted to continue offering these services while I was away and needed trusted people to help me. So, taking inspiration on return from a trip to Europe and reading another fabulous review from a guest, Short & Long Stays was born.

Short & Long Stays is a family run business and offers a personalised service by local people who know the area well and aim to help visitors relax and enjoy their time in the properties we manage, whilst also assisting you to keep your place ‘guest ready.

My wife and I acquired a 6-unit block site, in regional Victoria, just before COVID lockdowns. It was already being run on short term rental and we thought it would be a great business opportunity as we were heading into retirement. Our kids moved out and we had a studio above our garage that was being used as a junk room. My husband and I met Belinda at a property investment network, and she shared with us what she had done with a spare room at her house. With her consultation we set up our spare room and listing the property. Short & Long Stays set everything up for us, showed us the ropes and we took over managing the studio in our backyard after 5 months. Her guidance was invaluable and last year we had our best year yet, $36,290. Now that we can travel again, we are enjoying the shift to retirement, taking longer holidays and helping our kids out with their deposits on their first home.
